Core Types of Heavy-Duty Truck Lights

  • Primary Headlights: Heavy-duty semi-trucks utilize vehicle-specific or universal sealed-beam LED headlight modules (like 4x6 inch or 7x6 inch configurations) featuring heated lenses to prevent ice and snow buildup.
  • Marker & Clearance Lights: Small amber and red LED marker lamps line the cab and trailer edges to outline the vehicle’s length, width, and height to other drivers.
  • Auxiliary Work Lights & Light Bars: High-lumen LED pods and multi-row light bars are mounted to bumpers or headache racks to illuminate loading zones, construction sites, or off-road pathways.
  • Identification (ID) Light Bars: A mandatory trio of center-mounted red lights positioned on the rear top edge of wide trailers and commercial trucks.
  • Signal & Tail Lights: Heavy-duty brake, turn, and reverse lights featuring waterproof, shock-resistant polyurethane housings to survive rigorous highway debris.
