In machinery and vehicles, a clutch is a mechanical tool that connects and disconnects two rotating shafts. In a manual car, it allows you to temporarily disengage the engine power so you can change gears smoothly.

Clutch Disc: The friction plate that presses against the flywheel.

Pressure Plate: The spring-loaded mechanism that holds the disc tight.

Flywheel: The heavy wheel connected to the engine crankshaft.
